Take a walk with us as we begin in the parking lot of Don Reed's convenience store in Genesee, PA, where the outside temperature is 96 degrees F in the shade. We go into the store, where the design engineers unfamiliar with NRG told the building owner that he would need a ten ton air conditioning unit for the building. Don Reed never installed air conditioning. Fifteen years later, on a sweltering 96 degree day, the store interior is a very comfortable 76 degrees F.
